Construction management firm hired for Headlands project

PETOSKEY — Emmet County commissioners decided Tuesday to enlist Saginaw-based construction firm Spence Brothers to handle construction management services for a multimillion-dollar building project expected to start this year at the county's Headlands International Dark Sky Park near Mackinaw City. The proposed building is to include amenities such as an observatory, gathering space and restrooms, with a total of 12,000 square feet on its main, basement and telescope levels.
